parents have already lost their rights to their children education in regards to Social Engineering...

  • There is no opt-out for students who don’t want to participate.

  • Parents cannot sign a form that prevents their child from participating.

  • Parents can not sit-in on the training sessions.

just wait till SSM goes through... the lid will be open to the freaks to run riot...

So the right are worried about cake makers and religious institutions not being able to discriminate based on their beliefs and then they criticise someone who sacks someone based on their beliefs....Go figure....I thought this is what you wanted???

Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Now that really is a load of cr@p Phyllis....

If its ok for a baker to refuse to bake a cake for someone based on their beliefs why is it not ok to terminate a contract based on your beliefs....If a pastor can withdraw his services because he opposes the opinions of his client why cant a business sack someone who for the same thing???

Huh Huh Huh

Because you go to a baker and a priest to get food and get married, respectively. They are optional services. When you are an employee or contractor you have signed mutually agreed terms and conditions of employment, which are legal.

So it is ok for a shop owner to tell a customer they are not welcome in their shop because they are gay but it is not ok to end a contract with a contractor for what ever reason....The first instance would violate the discrimination act as it stands now and the second instance is a business decision that is legal....You have no idea do you???

Looks like there may a lesson to learn for the nut bag hateful lefties; don't be a fkken b1tch and expect everyone to be fine with it.

THE businessowner of a children’s party business who sacked one of her workers for promoting the “no” vote has had a Facebook post deleted for apparently causing hate speech.
It comes as she cops a series of abusive messages and death threats herself.
The 18-year-old worker, who has been identified only by her first name Madeline, was let go as a contractor by the Canberra small business for posting a Facebook profile picture with a filter saying “It’s OK to vote no”.
Capital Kids Parties business owner Madlin Sims said she fired Madeline because “advertising your desire to vote no for SSM [same-sex marriage] is, in my eyes, hate speech”.
She says she has since been called a skank, wh**e, b**ch, putrid and a sl*t.

I have a think about this over the last couple of days, and I think that people should be able to express an opinion without having to worry about their livelihoods being destroyed.

I oppose government censorship. Internal or social censorship is pretty much the same thing.

Therefore, I'm inclined to support unfair dismissal laws that make punish employers for firing employees who express an opinion. There must also be some caveats. For e.g.

- the employee/contractor must state that the opinion which she/he holds is not that of the business, and that she/he does not represent the business in her/his comments in any way.

- the employee/contractor must not use expletive language when making the opinion.

Thoughts?

If the left keep attacking people it won't change their mind it will merely harden their resolve.

Why arent these people just focusing on what the question is about?

The initial post had nothing to do with gay marriage and was about unfair dismissal. You made it about marriage so perhaps heed your own advice when talking about focusing on what the question is about.

So why not put it about unfair dismissal and not aggressive left sacks those voting no. It may have meant to be about unfair dismissal but the topic title is a loaded one.

So, you disagree that an employer does not have the right to fire an employee if they express an opinion against the mainstream? Many on here have said that 'those who are against SSM' will have to put up with this crap. But, the same could apply to any person who opposes a mainstream belief, right? What if you believe that Australia is racist country? Does an employer have the right to fire her/him for that reason?
