Again, the no campaign reaching for any issue other than the one we're actually voting on.
So?
If the left keep attacking people it won't change their mind it will merely harden their resolve.
It happens everyone some d1ckhead socialist wants to change something
Good luck with the yes campaign.
Why arent these people just focusing on what the question is about?
Why wasn't the business owner who sacked that girl?
'cause the girl made a public statement which she associated with the business, against the owner's wishes?
Tell me, Grappler, how long do you put up with employees going against your wishes and placing your business in a precarious position with a largish slice of the community?
"As a business owner I can’t have somebody who
publicly represents my business posting hate speech online."
What part of 'represents' are you confusing with 'presents' - the girl posted on her own time and on her own line, and doesn't mention the business. she made NO public statement involving the business.
Apart from that where does a person get off arbitrarily labeling opposition to something as 'hate speech'?
I, too, hope she is done for unfair dismissal - that should show people where the line is drawn. Contractor, huh? So she's not an employee as such, but the owner wants to treat her as both an employee and a contractor - been there, done that.... doesn't wash. You're either one or the other and if you have an ABN you are a business separate from your personal views - to which you are entitled.
A business is ONLY entitled to consider someone paid by them to be 'going against their wishes' when it is direct company business. These lines need to be clearly drawn since businesses have been getting away with petty dictatorship and abuse for far too long.
