from what I have been told  the temp of the ocean doesnt change all that much....so it may be 32 on the beach   but the water  will still be cool   however its when you get out that it hits   so 32 sounds pretty nice....I think the sharks like a frolic as well.

A N/E wind causes cold water from the deep to come to the surface while a southerly blows in warm surface water from the open ocean.

Yeah, I hadn't been in the water for about 10 days and the temp has dropped from 18 to about 16 I reckon. I'm really not good at cold water!!

Even scuba diving has been very cold this year. I can usually tolerate 13C underwater at the most extreme in a 7mm wettie. But I've dived less this winter - cold winds once on the boat again don't help.
