Strwth!!! What a total waste of space and time.
....
And the hand picked Rent A Crowd will ONLY ask the prepared "questions".
What a taxpayer funded FARCE and waste of money.
Years ago, QandA use to be promoted on the ABC in their on-air 'promos', as;
'An adventure in democracy'a while ago Yadda said....

'Q&A - An adventure in democracy'
But to my own mind, it is clear that Q&A /
Tony Jones, the producers at Q&A,
only allow views/questions to be expressed [presented], which are to their own liking.
[....
proof, in observation of the early broadcasts of QandA ]
It is clear that all of the audience questions on Q&A have been already been 'vetted' [selected],
as you will frequently see
Tony Jones referring to and quoting [i.e.
repeating] the
supposedly 'unscripted' audience questions,
from a sheet in front of him!
".......referring to and quoting [i.e. repeating] the supposedly 'unscripted' audience questions, from a sheet in front of him!"
Q.WHAT IS THE CONSEQUENCE OF THIS TYPE OF 'MODERATION'/VETTING OF THE QUESTIONS TO BE ASKED, IN THIS,
'FREE' AND 'OPEN', LIVE, ON-AIR POLITICAL DEBATE?
A.One obvious consequence is that
all debate on a particular issue can be 'guided'.
The debate can be 'guided', to the point where
only 'acceptable' views and 'acceptable' questions, will influence the direction of the
'free' and 'open' debate.
In other words, what is ostensibly [to an outside observer] an open, live, on-air forum,
for political debate, becomes
a *pseudo* forum for
'free' and 'open' political debate.
