Yep another magnificent feat of technology and exploration.
Columbus, Cook, Vasco de Gama etc will be looking down and applauding.

Has anyone explained how or why there is a hexagonal shape at the pole?

Here's a neat perspective.
In a way, Cassini did bring Saturn a lot closer to us.

Yep it seems to be a consequence of the high winds. Saturns unusual in having latitiudinal gradients in wind rather than longitudinal ones.

The centre rotates at a different speed to the periphery. They've recreated in a lab and you get patterns of triangles up to octagons, but hexagons seem to be the most common.

I'm a fan of Weller/Style Council. But man hasn't he aged like a dirty ashtray.

Aww - come on Marla, don't be like that. Those images are a breath of fresh air compared to the usual crap on the News, let alone the latest Music Video.

You seem stressed. You need to come to Oz and really learn to 'chill out' on a nice sunny white sanded beach while getting paid by the Government to do nothing but enjoy yourself (Gotta love those British  Wink ).

Thanks Bojack. That was very informative. I was afraid It_Is_The_Light was going to tell me it was a Crop Circle.
