I agree 100% that kids' noise should be i the park

and not in the street outside neighbours' houses.

"The unnamed writer complained about the residents of his street in Sydney.
They claimed their 'peace, independence and quietness' had been taken away.
The writer urged parents to take their kids to parks instead of allowing them to play in the street".

I totally agree.

This is the dark side of 'Multicultural Australia'.

I'll bet it is.

Sydney's Kingsford is stiff with Indians and Pakistanis.

I can see a White Flight happening over the next 12 months as white Australians seek a more quiet residential street up in the Blue Mountains.

Kids should be left to be kids. Let them enjoy life befor they are tainted by life.

If they're in a designated play area then it's a case of you having to have some double-glazed sound-proof windows installed.

Personally I prefer the sound of kids making a bit of a racket in my street than having to listen to a solitary basket-ball being bounced on my neighbour's driveway for seemingly an eternity.

Also the deep thumping of someone's Sound System Woofer reaching into my lounge-room because long waves are able to go through solid brick with the greatest of ease.

wasn't it you who put up a negative post toward the Coffee Shop owner who spoke to a mothers group about their noisy children disrupting other patrons peace & quiet?

One thing though provided they are not up to no good .... it's better children play in the street with neighborhood kids rather than be stuck inside on Playstations/computers/Ipads/tablets etc.

Playing cops & robbers, super heroes vs villians, climbing trees & other outdoor games etc.

Noise Abatement laws are there for a reason ~ to protect residents from having their domestic comfort reduced in quality because bogan parents allow their brats to behave like ferals in the street rather than take them to the local park.

Kids should be bred out of their natural feral state to become socially responsible for their behaviour. This calls for discipline and guidelines for when they're having fun.

Kids play-time should not come at the cost of impacting negatively on their neighbours' right to enjoy their home life in peace, especially as we now have parks within 5 minutes walk of any home in Sydney.
