Don't know - never been.

Would like to visit Albany/Esperance area.
Nowhere else really.

They say the best thing about Sydney is Perth.

I've heard Margaret River is a nice area.
But its very heavily residential now, no?

Sort of,... not!

The view hasn't been destroyed if you want to put it that way but some of the surfers are still agro about life!

Forget Margaret River, nothing there except a beach and waves. Its only claim to fame is good surf. Check out Millstream and Karajini Nat. park up North, Wittenoom gorges, Carnarvon and Broome. Down South Id definitely go for Albany and Walpole. Now they dont kill whales anymore you can watch them swim past off the cliff at Albany.

I've seen them all across the horizon out at Greenheads,.... if you can get out the back in a dinghy: lucky someone else was driving.

Amazing...

Really loved Albany and the SW corner but agree Margarets is a bit MEH.
Bunbury and Perth is a total sheethole.

I camped for nearly a month at Coronation beach just Nth of Geraldton, windsurfing and kite boarding 8 hours day.

If you've got a house Perth's not too bad!

But at some stage you'd have to leave the house, and you'd still be in Perth Wink

The best places Raven has been in WA is the south west, places like Walpole and Pemberton. The National Parks are spectacular and the trees just grow and grow. Coming from the Northern Territory Raven was amazed at their size. A beautiful part of the country.

Quoth the Raven "Nevermore"

Raven would rather ask questions that may never be answered, then accept answers which must never be questioned.

The Raven is right. That's the impression I have and the only part of WA I would wish to visit. A trip across the Nullarbor is said to be the go ...at least once.
