I'll happily answer your question, FD. I do in fact know the answer.

Do you want to know the answer enough to answer a question of mine?

I've already asked you twice on this thread so it's nothing you haven't seen before.

I can not promise your question won't be too stupid to bother with Mothra.

If you knew the answer, why did you spend 20 pages avoiding the question, and why are you now putting conditions on answering it? You started this thread, apparently out of concern for the prawns, but you are sacrificing them to some question you are afraid to ask me.

I'm sacrificing them?

As for stupid questions, i happen to think "Do prawns feel pain" is a particularly stupid one.

I would simply like to know why you think they might not? Why a living being would be born without the most rudimentary self-protection mechanism?

I also happen think they, irrespective of whether or not they feel pain,  would probably quite like eyes.

Furthermore, i think the fact that they are kept in environments that are so stressful to them that they won't reproduce without this awful thing being done to them is animal cruelty of titanic proportions. I happen to care about that.

Are you prepared to answer, FD?

So why is it that John is the only one in this thread to have provided and answer, and his answer was that he does not know? Are you saying it is an easy question, or an irrelevant one?

Pain is not a rudimentary self protection mechanism. It is reactionary, complex and slow. But I'm glad that after 20 pages you are finally paying attention.

No FD. Pain is a rudimentary self-defence mechanism.

Why on earth do you think prawns wouldn't feel pain?

Is pain "the most rudimentary self-protection mechanism"?

Oh well. John is the only one willing to give a straight answer.

I'm more than prepared to give a straight answer FD. Happy to oblige.

As soon as you tell me why you think prawns wouldn't feel pain.

No problem. I'll answer that right after you explain why you think it's OK to beat children.

Is that honestly the kind of tactic you evidence as example of how to behave on your forum FD?

Sure Aussie, if that is your answer. Sorry if I didn't notice you beating Mothra and John to it. So that is two people with a straight answer and Mothra still bargaining away like her opinion has some special value.

"I don't know."

Can you answer the question without demanding I first explain why I think what you tell me I think Mothra? I told you your question would be too stupid to bother with. You have every right to criticise me for bothering to respond.

No FD. Focus.

The question you want me to answer is not resolved with opinion, rather fact. Fact you could easily find out for yourself with a bit of a google but that wouldn't be part of the game, would it.

The question i want you to answer is very much about opinion though.
