round 8 - GGG,  canelo tiring..

canelo is an excellent counterfighter, but ggg is coming forward for the last 1 min of the round

round 9 - ggg slightly.

ggg is doing more work.
Canelo throws bigger more impressive punches, but far fewer of them

round 10 - terrific round.

too hard to call for me

canelo started off at top speed.
Put about 4 big shots on ggg that would have koed many other opponents.

ggg was not rocked.
ggg took control of the round in the last 1:30.

round 12 - very equal.

So I scored 7 rounds to ggg

1 round to canelo

4 I could not call

Canelo deserved more than 1 round, lets give him 3 of the undecided ones.

Springtys score card, 8 rounds GGG, 4 to canelo.

Making it 116 to ggg, 112 to Canelo.

that sounds about right

Just finished watching it.
An absolute pearler of a fight.
How good was that!

Triple GGG won in my view due to more punches thrown and landing.
Sure, his punches weren't as spectacular as Alvarez's - but he was relentlessly throwing a higher work rate.
Alvarez seemed more interested in showing personality that throwing punches at times. He seemed very lazy.

If Triple GGG fought like that against Mayweather Jr. He would win. Alvarez had an easier time against Mayweather Jr. Alvarez only seemed confident in the early rounds - had some moments of comeback in the latter rounds, but overall Golovkin just overwhelmed Alvarez completely. The Mexican just couldn't get any shots off the way he would have liked. The older Boxer seemed the more fitter.
Typical Slavic (Eastern European) approach. Excellent to see.
Definitely not a draw.
But hey, Money talks for 'big' fights which a few and far between.

Always love that look in Michael Spinks's eyes when he saw little 'Iron' Mike step into the ring.  Shocked

Then Tyson (Robin) went after Larry Holmes (The Joker) and Trevor Berbick (The Riddler) because of what they both did to Ali (Batman).

Berbick was not in the least bit intimidated or afraid of Tyson, he had too much of a flamboyant personality to lose that to Tyson and was the first opponent that 'took it to' Tyson. But he was in no way skilled enough to combat Tyson and was famously knocked around legless to his own utter frustration.
Holmes was highly skilled, one of the best of all-time in regards to 'technique'. He was a very 'tight' performer over his long reign as Heavyweight champ. But for the first time in his career - he came to know 'fear' in the shape of Tyson who was not there to win 'on points' - but to knock him the **** out!

Later, on a Youtube clip. You see the 'Joker' leap over a car to attack the screaming 'Riddler' as both turn on each other.
(Holmes attacks Berbick in Casino carpark).
