Thats about my thinking too.

Main reason I am picking Golovkin is he is the current Champ.

It is very even.
Golovkin has a good KO %age. Good point.
Golovkin is now 35 years old. Bad point.

Canelo has probably a better defense. Good Point.
Canelo has a lower KO %age. Bad point .

Golovkin starts off quicker. Good point.
Golovkins last fight, he did not get a KO. Bad point.

There is very little between them.

It is going to be a good fight. Canelo has put it off for a few years, wisely ....... Golovkin has to have better timing than he did in his last fight. I hope that was just a 'bad night' for golovkin.

Many KO's come within 10 seconds of a very good body shot. Often a lot of body shots early on take the steam out of an opponent in mid to later rounds. his punches are not a threat, as such.
