Look at this guy, Josh Kelly, about 3:30.
No guard, arms down, advances, the opponent backs off.
Joshs defence wins.
Never seen anything like it.

Look at these hits Canelo Alvarez are putting on.
Frightening.
Mexicans are often good fighters.

I was just looking at how solid his foot stance is when offloading about the 3:40 area, then he puts in a blow just after 4:00.

You'll see it.

am watching this fight.
interesting strategy from canelo

for me, khan won the first 3.
4th pretty even.
5th to canelo. canelo has been getting in many more body punches, started off slow.

what a shot, 25:20, the body shots were telling, khan was slowing and lacking power.
canelo wasn't.

what a beautiful posture canelo had. it came from back heel. flick of his whole body and zapped out his arm

from what I have seen  Saul Canelo Alvarez has the better evasive skills.

Golovkin is more 'in your face', going defensive against him may be playing to his strength.

Amazing defensive skills!
Defence has come a long way. That Josh Kelly is superb.
It goes a long way when 'defence' is your first attack and the punches you throw are the 'counter'. Exceptional!
Mayweather Jr is rated the best in the world, but his record speaks higher than his style - which still takes punches when he turns side on.
Prince Nassem would bend back and eventually opponents worked him out and attacked the lower torso when he did this.
Mike Tyson really showed how good a 'smaller' Man can get under bigger opponents (before Don King ruined him) and probably really lifted the bar when it came to a 'defensive' ability to move in towards the opponent.
Back-Foot Boxers like Ali, Mundine and Ray Leonard only moved away constantly as their defence. Ray Leonard took it to the ridiculous extreme when he just constantly 'ran away' from Hagler.  Roll Eyes Mundine used extra loose ropes to aid his efforts of evasion.
Canelo has the lucky ability to have strong punches. Pretty good for a Ranga Mexican.

Excellent clips!

Sprint,
Ali used to drop his guard & bob his head too.
It's a good technique if the boxer is fast enough.
That way the punches appear to come from no where.

I've been watching some of Golovokins work .

He does a lot of good body work, most of his punches are well timed from a good stance.
ie, a jab from him can be a knockout blow.
Few boxers do that, I think they should.
Most give arm flicks, few boxers throw a jab as a full punch.

So if he gets you with a low high low high combo, 3 of those punches will hurt.

His defence is not so good.
It does not have to be.
