Talk about putting us behind the 8 ball with copper , the people that don't have NBN now must be praying it won't arrive in their suburb until Labor get in next election

Labor will have to honor contracts but hopefully can redirect some of the later work to FTTH.

Then, hopefully, they will grasp the nettle, write off like 60% of the investment in NBN Co so letting NBN Co reduce the CVC which will allow the crap network to run more smoothly, especially at peak times. This write off will have to

Then they will HAVE to borrow more money, another $20Bn, and run out FTTH where it is not rolled out already. Maybe transfer the NBN to the Future Fund.

The Libs will raise hell but so what—they won’t be back in for several terms I fancy. Murdoch will run some pieces criticising the “waste of money” but I think Merde–och wants to stream stuff over the net, sport and crap like that and sell ISP services so will want a real network.

Now if we can have an election later this year or early 2018 that would be good!

Always amusing listening to the people bitch and complain about their NBN and internet costs.

They should be grateful they were not put on the abortion that is Labors skymuster satellite.

Hugely more expensive and not very reliable.

You know that before privatisation Telstra had a plan to go to fibre which depended heavily on copper and it was a really good plan that would have got us to where we needed to be well before 2010 at a lowish cost.
