What would you do?

Checking my bees today which are fenced off in a corner of my yard...

but then while checking my bees something felt not quite right...

then I realised that a small tree behind the small shed wasn't there./..

wtf...  Shocked

I look behind the shed and its been cut off at the ground...

and 100 holes drilled into the stump to obviously pour poison into...

we have a nosey old bag next door who has always been looking into our back yard over the back fence as it wasn't that high... or trying to pat/feed our dogs .... and when one of our dogs died offered to take my other dog as we were at work all day and it didnt have a mate anymore...   Shocked

so in the end... as she was timing our movements... knew when we were home and not.. I put up Fence extensions to keep her prying eyes out of our yard... this tree was also a good screen to keep her peeping eyes out...

it looks to me... that they removed (she always gets her son to do things) parts of the tin fence... cut the tree down and got rid of all the mess and screwed the tin fence back on....

like wtf....  Angry

so the **** waited till she knew we were both not at home... snuck into action.. cut the tree down and got rid of all the evidence...

like who in the ferk does that... >???? Angry

..................

what are my options???

what would you do??

Maybe be a less sh!t neighbour and trim your trees back so they don't enroach onto your adjoining land and become a nuisance.

I would have poisoned your dog for good measure.  Cool

she has a large tree that hangs over MY fence...

I now have my eye on it...

I have a chainsaw on a long pole so will be able to do some class trimming.. .(within the law)

I was wondering about that....

I know she hates to use poisons anywhere in her garden... but they had no trouble using it in my yard near my bees...  Angry

Plod is encumbered to act on notice of wrongdoing, that is their job, remind them. Whether they will... Take it higher and tell them if they do not act, that is where it is going, even a quick visit by plod may make them think again. If the tree was a native, it may have other ramifications, you can't just cut down any old tree you like these days.

nope.... what can they do... you have no evidence....

any reason why they would cut it down ???....over hanging for instance ??

is the tree important... it wont grow back...

this is a neighbour is it worth making a fuss....

if you think you could end up with more trouble..

put a camera up.....

other wise I would carry on as if nothing was amiss.....it isnt nice I agree.. but without witness' the cops cant do a thing....

you would be surprised how often that happens.. not so much chopping a tree down but ringbarking is very common   and causes so much trouble....

my advice plant another tree away from that side of the garden...

I go for peace and quiet
