This is not right. Christian Arabs and no jobs.

"Suzan said she has not been made to feel comfortable by other residents and feels as though many feel threatened by her taking jobs from locals.

'Regional areas don't have any awareness that foreigners are coming to this country. People stop me on the street with my kids and ask why do you come to Australia, why do you come to the Sunshine Coast?' she said".

She moved into a low employment area...duh.
Maybe she could be an Uber driver,  apparently the taxis up that way are wanting.

She paid $7000 for the visa only to find there are no jobs there, or, more correctly, that her qualifications weren't compatible with Australia's systems in the chemistry industry.

These look like a good family for us to take in.

Just about everyone I know has considered moving to somewhere like Noosa for the cheap housing and nice point break, but the employment situation there is the killer.

Correct.

I worked with a guy here in Sydney who was all excited about moving to the Queensland coast. Packed his bags and off he went.

A couple of months later he was back again, looking very crestfallen ... no jobs. He wasn't a bludger either. Just couldn't find any sort of work no matter how menial and lowly.

I agree, but Gordon is also right - she moved to a low employment area, but then again, the most common cry is that immigrants all move to the major cities - so how do they win, until this nation gets back on its feet again, NOBODY is secure about finding a job (unless you are one of the Insider Elite, of course).

She can do a remedial course at a university, like doctors can..... to cure the degree deficiency...

It's not easy being a genuine refugee, and we should take the Christian ones first....

The Sunshine coast is really only tourist industry jobs.

Google maps shows the 50km 530pm commute from Brissy to Sth Sunshine coast (Caboolture) as 90 mins by car, 1:50 by train or 2:37 by bike Smiley

Australian infrastructure is retarded.
