I think mothers being a tad precious. I've been turned away from medical centres many times since moving up to the Gold Coast. Not because of any other reason than that they were booked solid.

I'll admit, it's a phenomenon I had never encountered whilst in Wollongong. I'd never been turned away in the Gong, been made to wait up to 2 hrs, sure, but they never turned me away.

Most doctors in medical centres these days are on wages, they gain nothing by squeezing in as many patients as possible (ignoring the fact that the govt. frowns upon doctors doing it). A medical centre isn't an emergency room.
