Imagine being a Liberal voter and  part of a union (as many workers are) and your money is going to the Labor Party. That is wrong.

Why would they join the Union in the first place?

Good question.

Still waiting for a good answer.

Why would a Liberal voter join a union, knowing full well that some of their money would be going to the Labor Party?

Are Liberal voters complete idiots?

no worse than buying a murdoch newspaper only to have the money go to the libs. Cheesy Cheesy
A newspaper is a little different to the union movement muppet. A newspaper is an independent thing. The union movement as a collective of people.

you pay the union for a service, What they union does with their money is then their business. All you need be concerned about is that you're getting what you pay for. If you don't like it, don't join.

Did union officials consult with members about how their fees would be spent?

Yes, they most certainly did.

They are very open about it.

After all, the ALP was created by Unions, for Unions members.

They declare all donations to the ALP in their financial statements, which are made available to all Union members, as well as non-Union members.

You do realise that business unions donate money to the Liberal Party, don't you?

Do unions allow members to refuse to allow their fees are used to put pigs in the trough as it were?

They didn't back when I was forced to join.

The ALP was created for Union members, by Unions.

Unions today continue to fund the ALP.

Everyone knows that.

If someone isn't happy with that, they won't join a Union.

If they've joined without knowing about the donations, and aren't happy about it, they can resign from the Union.

It's not compulsory to join a Union, and their financial statements are easily accessible.

Best thing the libs ever did was snapping the necks of the unions. Always hated the fact I was forced to hand over money, knowing that the money would be used to fund the fkken labor party free-loaders.

Everything else was crap, but that was worthwhile.

I don't support compulsory membership.

Im against compulsory most things.

When it comes to forcing me or anyone to do something, less is more, none is better.

So the union movement is allowed to chuck a big party with strippers and lines of coke? That's the issue and one of the reasons unions are dying. Because they are corrupt and fail workers on a regular basis.

Maybe people believe their money goes into a big account so their job  rights get the best attention and support. Not to get politicians elected.

Jesus   Roll Eyes

You really should have stayed at school, Homo.

Supporting the Labor Party means exactly that: their job rights get the best attention and support.

Labor are there to support the workers.

That's why the Labor Party was created, by the Unions, in the first place.
