Should Ludlam, Waters et. al be fined?
Jul 18th, 2017 at 10:15pm

They were in pParliament under false pretences. They should be fined. Maybe not have to give back all the money that they earnt, but there should be some type of punishment. Same for Bob Day and Rodney Culleton. Before lefties say anything I care about the principle, not the side, as much as I like Bob Day.

But why would that make a difference? It doesn't matter of it's one or all 216. The principle is still the same.

Meanwhile all of Australia (thanks to the Media) is in mourning for an 'aussie as' Australian woman (with American speaking parents) who was shot dead by a cop because she ran at him with a phone.

"Dumb-ass honky trailer-park skank in pj's just came at me with what I thought was a gun in her hand.
So considering that in the last few years the only innocent people with mobile phones in their hands that were shot by cops at point blank - were black.
This honky skank seemed highly likely then that she had a gun and was gonna shoot my black ass!"

We decry that this 'aussie as' Australian, that was settling to become an American, should be respected and have a Public Holiday in her honour. Australian authorities are going to America to publicly announce to the USA Law that they will get a nasty slap on the hand for what they did.

Not sure what the principle is supposed to be, Larissa waters has been in the country since 11 months of age and been a taxpayer all her working life. You cannot tell me she secretly had an alliegance to Canada and deliberately didnt renounce her presumed citizenship. This looks like a legal technicality to me and nothing else.

Pretty sure that Abbott proved that he renounced his British citizenship. Not sure about any of the others but if they haven't then they need to be kicked out as well.

Some countries dont automatically grant citizenship, hence the confusion.

Born to Australian parents too. Crazy she is held to be a Canadian citizen.

But if we make allowance for Waters and Ludlam—then we would have to do the same for people that get deported, for whatever reason, to a country where they were born but haven’t been to for decades, don’t know the language etc.

Now potatohead is in charge of a super ministry like Homeland Security I am glad I took out Australian citizenship when I turned 18.

Rules are rules. To be a member of the Australian Parliament you cannot have dual citizenship. The form to apply for it asks that you fulfill the requirements. She didn't, case closed. I am sure that she probably is genuine in that she didn't know, but she should have known. She should have checked.

There is still reasonable doubt about Abbott and he is standing in the way of absolute proof.

The line? Born to Australian parents—Australian.

Lived here since early childhood—Australian.

Simple.

Of course they should be fined and made to pay back their salary.

Are the rats leaving the sinking Greenie ship ? Is Lee Rhiannon about to storm the Bridge surrounded by squealing unwashed Rent A Crowdies ?

Is this the long predicted extinction of the Greenies ? Is it because they LOST the ADANI struggle ?

What else is illegitimate about the disgraceful anti Australian Greenies ?

The rule banning dual citizens from Parliament is absurd - but we're stuck with it
Adam Gartrell JULY 18 2017 - 10:22PM

As Oscar Wilde might say: "To lose one deputy leader may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose both looks like carelessness."

Absorb the rest of this scurrilous Greenie episode here

...

Is it all a plot by the slimy Lefty cheer squad GetUp! ?

There is some form of punishment: they've lost their jobs.

As far as a fine goes, that's just ridiculous.

There's no Act in place that prescribes a fine for such a thing anyway.

And, I say the same for all politicians.

When Abbott is finally caught out, I don't expect him to pay any fine or pay back any of his salary.
