I know that ..... but we have sunk some money in there.

Seems though it was all a ploy to get their oil/gas.

China are there for various reasons & one would be exactly the same as why they are in Tonga .....

to plunder their fishery.

Again, I didnt see it as being that big a presence. Many other countries have a bigger presence.
