Ban The Internet
Jul 16th, 2017 at 9:10am

Trying to decrypt encrypted messages on average joe's what's up phone app ... Turnbull is just playing games. If he is serious about fighting terrorists, fighting child sex abuse, protecting our country from North Korean cyber attacks, then turning off the internet permanently ... it's the only serious option.

Anything less and the Turnbull mob is exposed as hypocrites. They are making an enemy of encryption so to try and garnish some clear air and give the illusion of doing something.

Think of the children, and ban the internet. Oppose and you are revealed as a paedophile terrorist.

Interesting suggestion.

We've just had 'Net Neutrality Day', perhaps it is time for an annual 'No Internet Day'?

But, I can just imagine the chaos that would cause - what would the hordes of brain dead zombies with their faces glued to their phones almost 24/7 do with themselves? Not to mention people who seem to live on forums such as this one.

It's already bad enough if someone like Telstra has 'network issues' and the abovementioned zombies are offline even for a few hours. What a panic situation it is for them (as we've seen a few times in the past).

To have the Internet switched off permanently would no doubt cause a zombie apocalypse. Shocked

Remember when we had to 'think' in order to solve problems. Couldn't find an address?; reach for the street directory or, gulp  ask directions. Want to make pumkin soup?; bring out the cook book. Want a good meal at a restaurant?; ask friends and work collegues. Now it's all smacking google

The world would grind to a halt.
The Internet isn't just used by consumers, it's also used by business. ATMs wouldn't work, EFT and credit cards wouldn't work. Hospitals would close (as we saw in the UK with the wannacry attack). Most businesses need the internet to pass information around internally.

And that is the worrying thing. If a cyber attack knocked out Australia's internet we would quickly descend into chaos

Pigs are good company and smarter than dogs . India has cows which are not interesting and pigs in suburbs are more fun than kangaroos. India also makes ball-point pens so we're left with nothing to write with when the cyber crash stops the ships.  Kids need to learn quill pens with ink , it's the future.

I for one would dance for joy under a full moon,... or any other for that matter, if there was no INTERNET.

I remember when we didn't even have black and white TV. When Bakelite telephones were on a 'partyline' and newspaper and radio was the source of interconnection.

SIGH

Its a fragile existence being 'totally' dependent on technology, especially the Internet now.
No different to those Tribes dependent on the rainforest before the bulldozers ripped it away.

the way most people use the internet IS lower consciousness.

its the same as TV, junk food, alcohol, drugs....

for many people these lower consciousness activities are just about pleasuring themselves.

that little hit of dopamine when you get a like on facebook is no different to that little hit of dopamine when you get poked by a drug, a sugar, a moment in watching sport....its the same sh^t.

the good news is that the rewards for people who can bust out of this lower consciousness are SOOO CRAZY.
the levels you can go to are SOOO HIGH because literally almost no one is competing with you nowadays.

the internet is used by most people to just "pleasure themselves" (witness porn ) and when you just pleasure yourself you have no evolutionary pressure to grow.

why would you grow when your reptilian brain says "its all good".

and governments cant get re elected without pandering to the voters and also "pleasuring the electorate".

so IF YOU CAN PUT THE EVOLUTIONARY PRESSURE ON YOURSELF, the skys the limit baby.
you can get up that narrow road to success because there is hardly any traffic on it.

the levels you can reach if you have some passion, drive, grit , guts and determination are incomprehensible to fat steve sitting on the couch with his fat wife.

The internet  is the new drug that will make people lazy.
along with socialism which is a drive to the bottom.
both will lead to mediocrity .

unplug and go hustle  Wink
