Has been charged on Summons served on his Victorian Lawyers (which would have been pre-arranged.)
He'll have the entire disgusting wealth of the Vatican to hire the very best lawyers (whatever that means) to defend him against the charges.
There are high profile lawyers in Australia who specialise in defending hopeless cases in the same way that brain surgeon Dr Charlie Teo operates on 'hopeless' brain conditions.
It's not because they're any smarter than your average lawyer, it's just that they made sure to belong to the same clubs as the judges, and to rub shoulders with them at the same horse racing events. Old Boys network, and all that.
If you see lawyer Chris Murphy walking alongside a client on the evening news, you can be sure the client is guilty as hell, no risk. It's an open confession of guilt to be seen hiring Chris Murphy, but because of backroom deals and knowing where various skeletons are buried, Murphy usually gets them off.
