Because the Qlders heel is off the ground and the sideline bloke is right there on the scene to observe it.

My arse it is.

I have no interest in your arse.  Try Sir Bobby.  That heel is clearly raised and the sideline bloke is Johnny on the Spot.

Today's News report that it was a try.   Smiley

See you at Suncorp in three weeks, cockroach!

I don't give a fukk whether you want my arse or not. You may have the fart.

His heel is no way in the air on the video. The bunker stuffed it up.

Heel is in the air have a look at angle of tibia/fibula to foot, he is on the ball of his foot.

Thurston can say he won his last origin game playing with one arm (tied behind his back...lol) and kicked the goal that won the game.

Forget the still, look at the video.

No Thurston for game 3. Gives NSW a chance for game 3. No Thurston for the rest of the season. Gives other NRL teams a chance at the premiership.

We weren't doing so well anyway, this is pretty much done the Cowboys for the season.

I was being a bit sardonic. I was expecting NSW to win Wednesday night. And I have given up on the Cowboys a few weeks back.

I remember when Rugby League was 'respected'.
When the Kangaroo tour or test match against Great Britain was League at its best.
Even Melbournians would stay up late to watch in their thousands.

But League (Cain) soon became 'jealous' of AFL/VFL who had huge crowds (sometimes over 100,000) attend nothing but a local 'suburbian/club level' game of Carlton V Collingwood, etc.

Then they knocked it down from the International scene to the State scene with State of Origin and even that has lost its importance.

Now, its all about the Grand Final as being 'the most important' thing. Hell, the Sharks even one a Grand Final.  Roll Eyes Good for ratings ain't it.  Tongue

AFL hasn't been 'innocent' either with its attempts at the International level via the hybrid Gaelic/Rules Football tests against the Irish.

We even saw League try to compete with Union via its 'Super League' - well that flopped and Rugby Union just 'stole the show' with a very successful 'Super Rugby' format of its own.

Watch those NRL 'Footy Shows' on TV where they prance around in Drag and call AFL as GayFL?  Roll Eyes

Anyone who watches/follows NRL or even AFL are GRUBS - because its all 'Cain & Abel' from now on.

I miss a Australia where I could go into another State and it was like a unique 'other country' with its own type of football and other cultural differences.
Now Pauline Hanson's Dream of a One Nation has made all of Australia a 'generalised bore' of sameness.
Travel across the border and you're still seeing the same stuff you left behind. Travel 3000kms and you still see the same stuff.

League has lost its way because of jealousy and insecurity.

Melbournians may get bigger crowds at 'club level' Football, but they have always been amazed at how many people would pack into the Leagues 'clubs' themselves, compared to their own. But that idiot Packer set up the Crown Casino in Melbourne and well...
...everything that this country stood for as a great place to live has been done over by the OVER-ACHIEVERS.

This country was not 'broken' - but look at all the idiots trying to fix it.  Roll Eyes

As a AFL supporter it normally  holds very limited  interest too myself. But the afl forums are alive  about  how league  has changed  it rules and now allow players toi shepherd  and protect  the kick catcher!

Awesome  to see your  game reinventing  itself  as ours Cool

The whole  tackle  a bloke without  the ball is not our style thu. But the NRL is obviously  taking  my AFL rules and experimenting  with it .

Good stuff... league  is dying such a slow moneyless death...I recommend  you move from anz park and play it at the gabba!

P.s can andrew jones still score eskkys?

And feel free to punch the ball foward  when passing and keep those shepherd  plays happening  Cool

Its clearly  the only future  league has Cool

I have to agree with you Francis.
Rugby League can't score tries like it used to unless the 'playmaker' kicks the ball into the corner for the wing or centre to leap up and take that AFL 'mark' to score a try.
Grin

League has become a Code of Grubs.
