I TOTALLY agree with that guy   special needs kids need to be treated special.. not all lumped together..

costly I know

maybe NDIS is looking at this....

but we could do more and agitate for some things to change

for the better.

Yet you have parents of ASD kids on this thread who are telling  you the opposite and you refuse to validate us.

Or the experts.

Nobody ever said one size fits all ... but a great many otherly abled kids fit in perfectly well in mainstream classes to the benefit of themselves and their peers.

Hanson was way off.

What about the ones who don't fit in, the ones who disrupt and cause problems who are forced upon the school, teachers and students in the name of progressive integration?

Why not open up the special schools again and dump them in there?

What about any child that is disruptive, doesn't fit in and causes problems for reasons for which there are too many to mention?

The only obvious answer is smaller class sizes, better trained teachers, support within the schools and teacher's aides.

The only thing it does depend on is whether the child is  so intellectually / physically challenged that they are a burden on the school class or they are high spirited. Because one can be dealt with quite easily, the other is unlikely to make any progress while fkking up the education of the other students.

Not all square pegs can be shoved into round holes, better put them in the right place straight up

Nobody has suggested that severely disabled children attend regular school.

Calm your farm.

You're incredibly rude. You insult people all day long, day in and day out.

To add to that, you rarely understand what is actually said and fly off the handle over things people don't  say or mean.

Then you insult them for it.

You are one of the rudest people on here. And the most spiteful and abusive.

Never actually said 'severely', nice try.  Grin Grin Grin

I am saying that disabled or useless enough to cause disruption and produce poor outcomes for the other students.

Not to difficult to comprehend is it?

It wasn't that long ago the all students were separated based on ability, saves wasting everyone times with those who just don't 'cut the mustard'

You are what you are, and just because you have high self esteem doesn't mean you're not thick as pig sh1t.

The old ways produced bad outcomes for everyone, including many in this thread who clearly have no empathy towards the otherly-abled because they have probably never spent any quality time with them as peers.

A great many people with disabilities are neither disruptive or "thick as pig sh1t".

Cods you have been insulting me all thread and joining in with other people insulting me.

Are you surprised i eventually told you to get bent?

So typically, you're now playing the victim.

Never take responsibility for your own behaviour, do you.

They may not be disruptive, they may just need an inordinate amount of the teachers time. This occurred in my daughters year 3 class and 25 kids were short changed on attention from the teacher.

And they may not.

But similarly, so may a child with emotional problems, learning difficulties, ADD?ADHD etc.

Where is this line drawn?

Or, as i have been saying to you all thread, is not the only obvious solution smaller class sizes, better teacher training and teacher's aides?

Then they are NOT the ones Im talking about OBVIOUSLY.

Is english not your first or even your second fkking language?

Keeping the stupid disruptive kids away from the smart focused kids is a dumb outcome how exactly?

Prevents them from becoming super best friends forever.  Grin Grin Grin Grin

A simple question.

You object to being called an old woman.

However, I was under the impression that you were:

a) elderly

b) female

If so, wouldn't that make you an old woman?

Perhaps I'm wrong though: maybe you're a young man.
