NSW Police now have 'shoot to kill' orders Terror

NSW Police have 'Shoot to Kill' options now after Parliament passed legislation

Once the NSW Police Commissioner declares it a Terrorist incident, the Police will have authority to 'shoot to kill' in a terrorist scenario

i.e. A Police sniper can take a Terrorist out

New long barrelled specialist rifles will also be equipped to the NSW Police Force

Only took 3 including Man Monis to be killed to get this through Cheesy

The Police handling of the Man Monis siege was an absolute disgrace and an absolute failure on the part of the top echelon of the NSW Police Force

Don't take my word for that, the Coroner's report was scathing of the way the top brass Police ran that siege

That is no reflection on the outstanding bravery of the Cops on the ground in particular those who stormed the cafe

I'd like to see the link about this. If new leglislation was needed before snipers in NSW can shoot, why were all those snipers at Lindt Cafe.

Sounds like political lilly gilding to me.

Red made a great point Pecca. If you hate the society around you the helplessness of our society is alarming. You can kill 90 people with a truck or start a bushfire in summer and kill a hundred people. Our country is in big danger. The scope to cause mass death is countless and easy.
