'Suicide' talks to 3 year olds ...

With the help of Turnbull we're now deeply ensconced in the Twilight Zone.

The lunatics are now running the asylum, for sure.

'Three-year-olds in childcare and students from preschools will now receive suicide talks from Beyond Blue.

While children as young as three won't necessarily be hearing the term 'suicide' they will have discussions around 'not wanting to be here' or 'wanting to die.'

The idea, which is part of a $53 million Mental Health in Education program, will be released by the Turnbull government on Thursday'.

this is disturbing. My kids are 5 and 7 and I would object to them discussing this with them now, let alone when they were 3.

I was surprised at the stats in the article though

According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics between 2011 and 2015 a total of 89 children aged 5 to 14 years committed suicide.

it would be interesting to see a breakup of those figures as well as some background on it. How many of those kids were abused etc?

AS the OP said though, they aren't going to call it that, and I suspect its as much about identifying kids with mental health issues as it is about anything else.

Kids, especially very young kids, are easily influenced which why trust is placed in responsible adults to steer them (gradually) in the right direction, removing their innocence is not responsible……it is abuse.
