Don't think like a Fundamenlist....

To all of you who believe that Islam is a pernicious ideology, let me kindly remind that you are actually looking at religion in the same way as Islamist Fundamentalists are. If a Muslim says that the Quran is the literal Word of God, instead of saying that it isn't, you say 'well, religion is preaching hate and violence...' When a Muslim says quote Hadith calling for the severing of someone's head, instead of challenging the absolute ridiculousness of such a text, you say "oh see, the Hadith says to decapitate people who disagree with you..."

HELLO..... WAKE UP.

Nope... that is not true otherwise we would agree with them and their behaviour...

You agree with them because you believe that the Quran and Hadith have canonical status and are somehow 'scripture - i.e. divine books.' You don't agree that they're truth or that it's correct, but you believe that the Quran is the Word of God.

Are you saying that anyone who considers the Koran to be the literal word of God is an Islamic fundamentalist?

I think you left a few key words out. You are contradicting yourself.
