Premier Berejelkian robbing NSW residents again

In New South Wales the Fire Insurance Levy has been removed from peoples' household insurance and tacked onto citizens Council Rates

Nothing wrong with that?

Check the following calculator and you will find the Government have engineered themselves a river of gold

People are going to pay plenty more in a huge number of cases given that the levy is based on the land value of your property

The calculation formula:
Your property classification Fixed rate Variable rate per $100,000 of land value
Residential $100.00 $21.90
Farmland $200.00 $23.50
Public Benefit $100.00 $21.90
Commercial $200.00 $179.10
Industrial $200.00 $268.70
Example: Jo lives in a house classified residential. Her land is valued at $424,000 according to the 2016 notice of valuation from the Valuer General. She is not a pensioner.
Her FESL is $100 + (4.24 x $21.90) = $192.86

The new system is due to start in July but there has been a huge outcry as people realise they are 'being had' again by this robbing bastard of a Government

Now how the hell did this lot ever get elected here? A pack of thieves from end to end.

Now let's wait for Labor to abolish this when they come in - as if..... what 'government' here ever gave back the door to riches that their 'opponents' opened wide by stealth and force?

This is the list that I know of where Berejelkian and her band have ripped us off

1. Electricity, unlike Ex Premier Mike Baird promised cheaper Electricity; price have spiralled out of control rather than 'getting cheaper' like that scam merchant said they would

2. Gas...The NSW Government has removed regulatory controls on the price of Gas. Now the Gas companies are free to charge whatever they like

3. The West Connex after the M4 was finally freed of tolls, the Government signed up with private operators to upgrade it. Now the battlers who have to drive to work each day from the battling west will be slugged big tolls there and back..These tolls are being referred to in the industry as 'the river of gold'

4. The Government has sold off the Registry of Birth, Deaths and Marriage for a billion plus. Get ready to get kicked when you want something from them it will cost you a bomb

5. The latest Government fraud on the taxpayers the Fire levy..A 'for instance' Businessman Brian Adams said his bill in the city will go up from $400 to $3,300 dollars...He's real likely to have a bush fire isn't he?

Regrettably it is a couple of years to the next State Election. By then I'm sure Berejelkian will have arranged her own 'golden parachute' with the big end of town. Just like the one Mike Baird got..the multi million dlr job at the Big End of town, nice one huh?

Sadly Red, I welcome you to the Kennett era. Look at what happened in Victoria under Kennet and see what is coming down the line for NSW. I feel very sorry for the good people of NSW - Victoria has very little left in State owned and run assets and we are are living in a privatised and outsourced world

The NSW Government read Premier Berejelkian has stopped the implementation of the Fire Levy, such has been the volcanic blast coming from the rich Liberal suburbs about this unfair and poorly thought out tax

Who knows what they will come up with now. The Government is great at 'policy on the run' and usually they get it wrong
