Explosion at UK concert
May 23rd, 2017 at 8:58am

Ariana Grande's concert at England's Manchester Arena ended in a mass emergency evacuation after reports of explosions, the Daily Mail reports. Emergency services are currently responding, according to Greater Manchester Police department.

"There are a number of confirmed fatalities and others injured," Manchester police said in an official statement after the concert. Police are telling everyone to avoid the area so first responders can work. Details of a casualty bureau will follow.

Early twitter report saying it was a giant overhead balloon that burst causing a loud bang and caused a stampede.

Now police saying in a statement that its being treated as terrorism "until police know otherwise".

In a time of universal deceit — telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

No evidence whatsoever it can be attributed to George Orwell or Eric Arthur Blair (in fact the same guy)

Well you can't accuse the Guardian of tip toeing around this...

I would have thought this headline is a little premature:

the police have already said they have located a second nail bomb and will be doing a controlled detonation.
so much for the balloon causing a stampede theory.
