Looks like the article states the most people are bigots, pretty weak argument at best, or the fact of the matter is, demanding endless sympathy for endless lines of people you don't know is unrealistic. But to call them bigots just because they don't weep rivers of tear at the slightest bit of hardship is just total lefty wankery.

I remember your defense of Indonesians, Rhino. You lived in Indonesia, and you knew Indonesian people. You have experienced the hospitality and kindness of Indonesians. This gave you empathy.

Empathy isn't difficult, it's natural. Its opposite - bigotry - is fake. It comes from ignorance.

You can only be bigoted towards people when you don't know them.

This is different. Big's lack of empathy is the result of transference. It's not that Big doesn't know any stupid or lazy people, he simply hates the stupidity and laziness in himself.

Bigotry is largely the result of self-loathing. Those who know themselves are indifferent to the faults in others.

Know thyself, Big. The truth shall set you free. As the Buddha said, awareness and compassion are like two wings on a bird.

Moses, when are the Christians going to address the language of The Old Testament and the New which advocate bigotry, hatred, Homophobia, Misogyny, keeping women as second class believers in their religion and bars them from admission to the Clergy and advancement in it?

I suspect both religions will modify their good books at about the same time. In otherwords, never. It is of course all about interpretation. Christianity has modified it's interpretation of its Holy Books quite a bit over the last 2,000+ years. Islam has as well. Some Muslims today don't like that and they are the Islamists.
