sometimes it just tastes so good...

the other morning I had a cup of tea that out rivalled all other cups of tea.
It was not a new blend or a special brewing technique but wow it as soo guud.

Sometimes the things you love just become so delicious...like tasting or seeing for the first time. I want more of these moment's.

Had a friend when I was a younger man, every Sunday his father would do a lamb roast, it was just him and his father. Guess where I spent my Sundays if I could.

Do you like lamb dripping on bread or bread toasted in it?

I did lamb shanks once.  They tasted great.....meat just melting off the bone.  Only problem was they stank the house out during the cooking process.

My wife hates the smell of lamb cooking. She's suffering as we type. It just makes me hungry.

My gran told me all about drippings during the war years, my mum got it a few times but was just old enough to miss that era. She grew up when luncheon meat was the thing. I used to get these horrid frozen burger patties made from god knows what.

My daughter goes to the gourmet deli and gets to choose between spanish jamon, duck terrine and buffalo mozzarella

I just read that 5 mins before going to lunch.
Now I have gone from going to get a sandwich to potentially a kebab....

Though a kebab or lamb in the middle of the day. Just doesn't feel right.

As long as it tastes good Andrei I don't care how it feels.

Next time you make a roast, pour off some of the oil before you make gravy and relive the wonderful past. It's yummy. Fry some bread in it, use it instead of butter.
