Rules of the heater
Apr 27th, 2017 at 4:35pm

I grabbed the x4 Rinnai gas heaters from the store room and connected them around the house, and issued the heater use rules.

A heater must not be turned on unless tracky dacks, socks and a hoodie or similar are worn.

I expect the rules will be broken by the weekend

I would have thought someone as fabulously wealthy as you would have central heating?  Undecided

What? And it's incompatible with central heating?

Barely needs it. Gets the sea breeze in summer and  lovely NE sun in the morning.

Only the woosy girls ask for a bit of heat.

The only big old places around here with central heating are the ones which have been totally gutted. Mines still fairly original.

Hope this helps.

Tell me about it.  Woosey girls. I lived in Hanoi for 4 years and never turned on the aircon. I swim 365 days a year. Oh and I lived in Toronto, I need to take my woosey girls there in winter.

You're contradicting yourself. You're aware of that, aren't you?

Moths. You haven't paid attention to why I said.
With socks tracky dacks and a hoody the heater is rarely needed. If you walk around in light clothes you may feel cold.

The clothing rule SHOULD ensure lower energy consumption which is my goal.

I'm a greenie, remember.

Yet you think that will all be out the window by the weekend.

I just don't understand why someone so fabulously wealthy, and a greenie, would use 4 electric heaters in Autumn.

Surely the most environmentally friendly way to heat your home would be central heating run off solar or gas?

I mean, money isn't an option after all, as you keep telling us.
