You better have 6 children living with you and your wife to be wanting a 4-5 bedroom home. And you would be crazy to be spending more than $500,000 for a home.

A mate overseas wants to move there.  I have limited knowledge of the Goldy so recommended around Burleigh or Currumbin. Is the tweed still single mothers paradise?

I'd avoid the Tweed if the stories are true.

Coomera appears upper class from the types of expensive housing there, but if the stories are true it's an ice haven.

Anecdotal, I admit.  The whole of the Gold Coast is an ice haven.

The Gold Coast is risky -
I know someone who lost a lot of money by investing there.

Did he accept free flights and accommodation to inspect a new development then used the valuer and mortgage broker suggested by the real estate agent?

Did she buy off the plan from a shoddy builder or just overpay?

That sounds exactly like Gordy's kind of neighbourhood.

Streets full of vacuous models holding dead animals would be right up his alley too.

I was just going to suggest Tallebudgera.

We go to the creek for a swim often. It is much better than swimming in the ocean.

If the place is within walking/cycling distance to the creek mouth, that would be a strong attraction to me.
