Know the enemies of a civil society by their public behaviour, by their fraudulent claim to be liberal-progressive, by their propensity to lie and, above all, by their attachment to authoritarianism.

Your answer to A is not good enough. You need to develop your total recall back to the womb.

A/ Not born
B/ At work in a TV station news room. I called my girl friend and said 'I won't be home for about 2 days'.

C/ First Bali Bombing.
I was halfway though a 5 day trek in Nth Vietnam

. The first I head about it was from a 16 year old Hmong girl (they often lead 1 or 2 day treks around the area) who'd picked up snippets of information and through a mix of bad English and naivety of international events told us Indonesia was bombing Australia.

Walking at Circular Quay in Sydney, and it didn't shock me like it did some people who thought JFK was The Second Coming. I frankly didn't give a rat's arse.

He and his brother screwed the arse off Marilyn Monroe and then discarded her like a leaking blow-up doll when it suited them, with her then being 'overdosed' by the CIA to keep her from talking.

And then JFK marrying a woman as ugly as 'Jacky' Kennedy  ...

The 9/11 mini-holocaust. My brother phoned me to turn on the TV set as the news was being streamed live.

On a bus to school

In an RSL watching these buildings collapse and initially thinking it was a movie, then saying, "Wow - somebody's going to cop it over this!" ... then reaching for the phone to seek to rejoin.  No dice - heart..... or is that no heart, no dice?
