Everyone's welcome to play two-up on ANZAC Day, son. It's the one day of the year.

Get him to show you his RAAF medal.

BigOl reckons he's very brave.

Bloody oath. They even gave him a medal with a dog's lipstick on it.

He should pucker up a bit more. We had drag acts like Big Hole in Nam. Hysterical, but those broads took themselves most seriously.

They could fight too. The irony is, if Big Hole gave into his overwhelming desires, he'd become a much tougher man than he is today.

I'll tell you this much, son. It's not the war that makes men, it's what happens off the field.

I'll tell him that - LOL

But Karnal - I was really looking for that knock out story of your brave war deeds e.g.

You got out of the trench & charged towards the enemy machine gun nest.
All the bullets missed you & you lobbed a grenade into the machine gun nest & took out the enemy gunner.
You then proceeded to bayonet the remaining enemies
in had to hand brutal combat.
You then received a hero's war medal.

Something like that?

Pipe down, girlie. War's sh1t. You get out alive - if you can. Some good boys didn't.

So when I sit down and have a beer in ANZAC Day, I'll remember that.

I've spent most of my life forgetting the rest.

Take it as praise, son. Boys who learn to do that become men.

There's nothing like being in an actual war to turn you of the whole thing.

At least, i imagine that to be the case.
