Seems very low.......even for an athlete, who usually have a heart rate in the low 60s......

Acxtually just checked my Gear fit, lowest measured was 48.

Miguel Indurains ( who won 5 TDF in a row) once measured a resting HR of 28.

Don't know why you'd do that, but it IS your body.
Do you feel a little dizzy or light-headed when standing up after repose.?

What I have learned over the years, is that we are all different, and medical goals are based solely on averages.
The ácceptable' levels of any medical tests aren't really related to anything but data, averaged out ( to put it too simply).

If you are an active person, that would seem to be a low rate.
BUT, if you don't feel ill or light-headed after moderate exercise, and you are not bedridden, you may will represent an anomaly.

This is not to say you have a problem... you may just be very 'mellow'. Smiley

We are all individuals, and if you have no ill-effects, then I wonder why you were placed on specific medicine for it. What was your BP before you started meds. ? Do you know? How long have you been on these meds, before you stopped taking them? How old are you, and what is your weight?

Please PM if you'd prefer.

Cheers

I did have an irregular heart beat , thats why I thought I would try going off the medication.

Knowing that I also have to be responsible I also keep getting my BP checked,,, its fine.

The irregular heart beat seems to have stopped now I am off the drug Twynsta 80/10

I will be back in Perth soon and I will get things checked a bit better,,,, only (Whitchdoctors in Katherine)

I think its the calcium channel blockers that are causing the problem.

Yes we do know our bodies better than the quacks,,, I ended up in emergency after my quack prescribed two calcium channel blocker drugs  by mistake.(I thought I was dead)

If you want to know what an irregular heart beat feels like,,, imagine Dave Brubeck playing Take Five in your chest

I am with cods.

once in my life my pulse was under 60 when resting.
I was very fit then.

Yours is too low unless there is a good reason.

Hi Cods

Just today the quack has finally booked a stress test at the local hospital,,, June 7.

I stopped my BP medication for a while and eventually my BP went up after a week.

I have bought an automatic BP monitor to keep track of my BP.
My BP is fine again, but my pulse was down to 32 BPM.
My BP does go up if I am working, swinging on a chainsaw, up to 98BPM.

I dont feel like Dave Brubeck playing in my chest at the moment, not faint , no bad symptoms.
So I will just wait for June 7 and a cardiologist will probably look at my ECG after or during the stress test, the two local quacks had no idea what was going on with my ECG I had at the local quacks.

Right now 127/70 with 48BPM, and feel fine.
