to FD's comment on the other thread
We don't make it transparent for privacy and to stop it becoming a dramafest with people campaigning to get certain members banned.
people already make everything a dramafest, that's why relationships exists.
I was mod on another forum many years ago and all bans, and the reasons why, were public information and it was no more of a drama fest than here. If anything it was less because it eliminated all the 'creative' guesswork like you have now with some people on here. Also eliminated all the unnecessary threads on 'why was I banned' or 'why was cods banned' etc.
I have no problem with a mod writable only thread to say who, why and how long. I think it'd be a good idea. Some members will still get their nose out of joint because they are never wrong and never do anything wrong but they do now anyway.
sounds like you are talking about your mate mothra set...
just kidding...
i think
we need more openness when it comes to the ban.. up front I mean...
I was told I was banned for using the word liar... which was quite amazing at the time...
..
I was also banned for sticking up for myself after having pages of abuse thrown at me......which no one got banned for..
so a few things stick with you.....was it unfair... I dont know..but nothing I could do about it..I went years not being banned once and then andrei banned me about 5 times in one year...
in all fairness a person was banned just recently and complained on another forum it was myself that reported him....which in turn was brought to ozpol...creating the innuendo it was myself that got him banned...... totally untrue.......yet that person who was banned still has it in for me...still makes unpleasant comments....which I ignore but should I have too set?...
being banned can either be a feather in your cap.. or an insult....how about some honesty....if the person is good enough to be banned then they are good enough to read the reason.
