banning people Mk II
Apr 19th, 2017 at 4:13pm

I can't post in feedback so I had to start another thread.

I noticed the resident wannabe mod is trying to play games again

this is what he posted

A total of 33 Members have voted, and only 3 made a vote consistent with leaving things as they are.  A whopping 91.91% of your members who have voted so far want change, and the great majority want things to be more strict (the Rules enforced more strictly) and the method of bannings made different to the current system.

given that the 'maintain the status quo' option was only put up after most of the regulars had already voted, a fact you are all to aware off, your figures don't mean sh1t.

You can vote in that Poll, Mr Smith, even if you cannot post in Feedback.  My sole reason for making this response is to stick it right up you for lying.  I have posted a zillion times I do not want and will not accept a GMod job here at OzPol.

I am playing no games other than with the cards we all have been dealt.  That's all anyone can do.

I did vote, but at the time 'status quo' wasn't an option.

Further, the late addition of the 'Status Quo' option will not have any impact of those who HAVE voted more strict, less strict and for do it differently.   They would not have voted that way unless that is what they wanted.   If they did not want any of those three, they would have not voted at all...or gone 'undecided.'

I am posting facts, Mr Smith...plain and clear facts.  If you don't like the outcome of the Poll, not my problem.

Stop crying.

'Talk' in the case of what I said about a GMod position is all I can do.  I'll say it again for you and anybody else who does not seem to understand very unambiguous words in plain English.

I do not want a GMod job at OzPol and I would not accept it even if offered.

wrong .... you can act like someone who doesn't want to be mod.

You don't miss an opportunity to try to undermine the mods. The only reasonable reason for that is because you are hoping to take their place.

Show me any lie.

As for me not missing an opportunity on GMods....I accept that I fight back when they interfere, contrary to the Rules, in Relationships.  I also comment on the obvious, like for example, that Setanta is the only GMod pulling their weight now and has been for quite some time.  If you think that's false, you are truly are a certifiable idiot sobbing in his cup because the Poll did not go their way.

Talk to the hand, Smith, I am not going to repeat my self just for you.

Why bother banning people?  Just ignore them unless they are outrageous trolls.... and actually harmful or vicious in intent, as some who've come here have been.....

I would put my house on FD NEVER making ozzz a G mod.
FD sacked him twice when he held any sort of power greater than a hall monitor in a primary school.
As for the reason for this thread, it sucks FD would start threads in boards that many members have no access to.

to FD's comment on the other thread

We don't make it transparent for privacy and to stop it becoming a dramafest with people campaigning to get certain members banned.

people already make everything a dramafest, that's why relationships exists.

I was mod on another forum many years ago and all bans, and the reasons why, were public information and it was no more of a drama fest than here. If anything it was less because it eliminated all the 'creative' guesswork like you have now with some people on here. Also eliminated all the unnecessary threads on 'why was I banned' or 'why was cods banned' etc.

The only people that need to be banned are the trolls that go from thread to thread with the sole purpose of smacking them up. A bit of 'abuse' is fine here and there, but the line should be drawn when a poster(s) continually has no purpose other than to bugger up as many threads as possible.

Agree x10

Stupid one liners.
Insults, trite and abusive remarks, totally unrelated to the topic.
An argument and discussion is fine, these annoying trolls, just static in life

I have no problem with a mod writable only thread to say who, why and how long. I think it'd be a good idea. Some members will still get their nose out of joint because they are never wrong and never do anything wrong but they do now anyway.

No, still here - picked up a little short term contractor job for Defence so a lot of travel involved.  At Thursday island at the moment, internet is close to the old dial up speed at times.  I am happy to give up all the corporate benefits of being a full time employee of Ozpol until I return.

sounds like you are talking about your mate mothra set... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes just kidding...
i think

we need more openness when it comes to the ban.. up front I mean...

I was told I was banned for using the word liar... which was quite amazing at the time... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes..

I was also banned for sticking up for myself after having pages of abuse thrown at me......which no one got banned for.. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

so a few things stick with you.....was it unfair... I dont know..but nothing I could do about it..I went years not being banned once and then andrei banned me about 5 times in one year...

in all fairness   a person was banned just recently and complained on another forum it was myself that reported him....which in turn was brought to ozpol...creating the innuendo it was myself that got him banned...... totally untrue.......yet that person who was banned still has it in for me...still makes unpleasant comments....which I ignore  but should I have too set?...

being banned can either be a feather in your cap.. or an insult....how about some honesty....if the person is good enough to be banned then they are good enough to read the reason.

I think its bloody rude to be honest...

aussie is the biggest whinger of gmods in the place yet fd listens to everything he has to say... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

well he see it anyway....I dont want aussie banned from feedback.......but you have to admit.. fd can be plain nasty.....in fact I am surprised this thread isnt in relationships already.... where it will have an early death. Angry
