Japanese dentists in Japan. Yikes. Never again.

The best dentists back in my day were Anglo-Australians. Every second dentist in the UK was an Australian, and then here in the 60's they were mostly all genuine Aussies, not the blow-ins we have today.

The Aussies did their job expertly, and never started soliciting you for further treatments while you were still on your back in the chair as these Asians have been doing with me. They had professional standards of ethics and integrity in those days before it all went down-hill under 'multiculturalism'.

You have confused Petticoat Lane with Gropecunt Lane, cods.

My poor wife went to an Australian dentist for an emergency extraction after breaking a tooth.

The resulting butchery had to be fixed in the hospital emergeny department and the dentist was reported by the hospital.

Perhaps you got a bad dentist, these things happen in all races.

I have had Indian doctors who have been good and bad.
I have had GPs or Chinese, Vietnamese, Indian and now a pommy.
I could only complain about one, and it was that he was less than competent at skin cancer removal.
One indian lady doctor wore her Sari when she worked, she was a good doctor, but gave up when people refused to be seen by her because of the Sari.

You had a bad run, but dont blame the race, just because of one dentist.

Got that very problem today at 9.30 - dreading the bill.

The problem here is the payment of full fees to the universities, which have become more a business than a house of learning these days, and like all such and politicians, overpay their staff to buggary and back, cash and perks.

Hence Grappler University - a free and open range university of the mind - like Julius Sumner Miller or many such used to operate in British parks, where people would share knowledge like the mullahs now share Islamic thought.

Please read my posts again. I haven't uttered one word of criticism about their dental skills and knowledge.

Wonderful news. Thank you for that, and my congratulations go to those who refused to pander to her rude arrogance.

I've had the same experience with an 'in-yer-face' middle-aged Indian female doctor who was resolutely determined to advertise her Indian monocultural credentials with a rude arrogance that refused to acknowledge that her privileged life-style was due to having migrated to Australia with its British cultural heritage and ethos.

Same with those hijab-wearing denialists who pretend it's Islam that's providing them with the privileged and prosperous circumstances they now live in.

Grin Grin Grin

In this one post you've managed to completely ignored three important points that I made in my above scribblings.

1) I discounted race as being to blame.
2) I took pains to explain that my complaint has been about financial rip-off and not their professional skills.
3) I listed several branches of medicine in which I've encountered this problem - and not just with this one dentist.

Jesus give me strength ...

Why would what a female doctor wore, matter to the patients?  As long as she was covered and competent, it shouldn't have mattered in the slightest.    Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

The public voted on her sartorial arrogance and gave her her marching orders.  This is Australia - not Bombay. Good manners requires her to acknowledge that it's British Australia she's now living in, and her greatly improved circumstances have absolutely nothing to do with Indian culture.

Yep, its pricey, no doubt. Never do you see anyone who appears on TV regularly without massive cosmetic dentistry.

Exactly.

And being America, they all wear guns in a holster when asking for payment at the front desk after your treatment.

The best and cheapest dentist I ever saw was me mum with a length of cotton thread and a door-handle .... 'WHAM!'

Nope. In America these days they often ask you to pay upfront BEFORE treatment ...

So they have the same problem as here in Australia where so many people use dodgy cards that many retail and professional outlets now only accept cash.

At my solicitors they had people using their debit or credit card, and then literal go running across the road to the bank to put a halt to the transaction going through.  Grin

That's total bull. You can't reverse transactions that easily.

That's what the receptionist told me was the reason I couldn't simply use my debit card there. I had to go up the road to an ATM machine for some cash. Bloody pathetic.
