Why are same sex marriage supporters such bigots?

They won't even tolerate a DEBATE on the issue. Like the very friendly and tolerant debate between pro-Liberal Tim Wilson and anti-Liberal Andrew Hastie. Twitter, the gutter of the feral far-left, went into meltdown about it. They won't permit any voice that disagrees with them on the issue, which is the definition of bigotry.

Probably because every time there is debate the anti- side bring out the same old cliches about destroying marriage, being bad for children etc etc etc.

No Matty, like most conservatives you are confused about what freedom of speech is.

Freedom of Speech is also the right to criticize the opinions of those you disagree with. No one silenced Tim Wilson and Andrew Hastie. They simply used their freedom of speech to criticize their opinions and boycott the beer company that supported it.

Some may indulge in bigotry, but they are not all bigots. Many accept the notion that sexuality is a broad spectrum of flavours, each one of no particularly different value. Its easier that way. I don't accept this view. There are normal men and women, and then you get to the broad spectrum of weird predilections. The bigots in that group are the ones who denigrate normal men and women as mere “breeders.” Their word, not mine.

Having worked in the media, arts and ent industry in the Eastern Subs of Sydney for years, I've met many 'militant' gays who only run with their little gay mafias.

They call straight women 'front bums' and men breeders, het-tards or closet gay (some believe all men can be converted if they'd just try it).

Most of it is just trash talk except for the worst, and those guys would
probably just be arseholes if they were straight.

Having said that, just let anyone marry whoever the bugger they like.
If someone wants to marry their red setter, go for it.

Referendums are for Constitutional Changes only.
That is why they were offering a Plebiscite... the Marriage Act is not part of the Australian Constitution.
IMO such a change as SSM I believe that all eligible Australians should have a say in the decision... Shorten and Co think 150 Australian should. The SSM lobby agree because they think they have the support of the majority of those 150... 76+
