Only GMods can see them. I guess it come down to if you think I or we would use that. If you don't trust us to do the right thing, change them. Personally I couldn't give a rat's who you all are in RL.

Would you name drop to RL friends outside the forum?

I think it is an option in your profile whether to make your email address publicly visible, private, or viewable by other members. For a while the default for new members was yes. Not sure why YaBB did that. I had to go in and change the default setting in the code somewhere. There is always a chance of a glitch making them all publicly viewable.

Regardless of that, I cannot guarantee the technical security of this site. You should always use a free anonymous email address for any forum or website you sign up to, unless you like being inundated with bucketloads of spam.

I don't mind if the Gmods see them, as long as the deranged on here or on PA aren't ever made Gmods. I took steps to change mine at PA when I found out lisa was in the running for the position of mod. over there.

I doubt it. I've been in IT for years and you just pass on when you see it. For eg, if email bounced I would get the email or part of to so many characters/lines of so I could fix things if they were broke. Other people lives do not hold a lot of interest for me but I will say I saw some weird shyte.

A bit like a gynaecologist would pass on "I saw someones pussy today". It's gets pretty much, meh.

Edit: I guess it's what you would call being professional.
