I think it is visually very ugly and I can see what the artist was going for, but he/she failed to either shock nor present a work that was either interesting or worth looking at . Thats just me.

It's an instillation, you can hardly judge it from a computer screen.

I think we'd better limit Ozpol art to flowers pressed in doilies.

I do fine art photography and sketching, and additional to my stuff I have some very cool pieces friends have given/swapped.
No pressed flowers in the house of Gordy Smiley

You've got to get past the idea that all art is made to look pretty and is made to be displayed in a private home.

Some stuff is made solely to make people say what the bugger!

Have any of you guys or gals been to MONA, in Hobart?

If the stuff in the OP offends cods, she's not gonna like MONA.

I suspect the 'Wall of Vaginas' would make her faint.

Personally, I love MONA.  Been there many times.

If you ever visit Tassie, it's a must see.

And, the art in the OP: not my cup of tea, but I don't think it should be censored.

I have never heard of it.. but do like confronting.. "art" and its a shame it is called that....

how about shockart  for shocks sake..

can you tell me how many sales these. "artist" get??...or do they live on govt assistance?

which would be sad if they did.........as to me art gets sold because people want it in their homes where they can gaze on it every day...

if you have to flinch or ask questions.. like.. what is it meant to be..

then it isnt what i call ART...would I buy a Picasso...no not what I like...but I would call it ART

thats the difference no I dont have to like it..
but I dont want to flinch and feel sick looking at it. either.

Go to Hobart and check out MONA - you'll love it.

Nice little boat ride from Hobart to the museum, and once there you can view the exhibitions, have a meal and a drink or two, and even enjoy some jazz out on the lawn.

The 'Wall of Vaginas' is called something else, but I can't post the title here.

There are some amazing exhibitions at that place, and the building itself is amazing.

It's carved into the ground.

I deleted it as crass in my Lounge Room.  That is where I decide what is 'art.'  Life's a bitch, isn't it.

How on this planet can some crap tent image/structure made up of some pretend flesh which has been through a pretend mincer is art is way beyond me, and it never will be.  Did anyone even buy that trash object?

Art is not creating some dumb thing and then post facto pseudo intellectually claiming it is a reference to suffragettes when there is absolutely zero obvious connection.....other than.....it is a tent.  So's this:

...

Art?  Far cough.

We all react differently and have different thresholds. You like to be confronted right up to your limit, right?

The art in the OP didn't even make me blink. My first reaction was to want to know what materials were used.
