But it was his first offence!!
Feb 20th, 2017 at 7:05pm

When I heard the story on ABC NSW radio, they mentioned the accused lawyer argued for bail on the basis it was his first offense. Well he's started his life of violent crime with a doozey!

The copy on ABC website doesn't have the exact same wording, but close.

His lawyer today argued for Ahmed to be allowed to be placed under house arrest with exceptions that would allow him to go to work.

A $10,000 surety was also offered.

What, $10K bail for stabbing his wife in the chest because he belived she was having an affair.

A MAN accused of stabbing his wife of five years to death had just found out she was having an affair, his defence lawyer said.

Bangladeshi migrant Shahab Ahmed, 33, was charged with murdering his wife Khondkar Faihi Elahi, 29, at their Parramatta unit on the weekend.

Outside the court, Mr Khatiz said it was "unfortunate" bail had been denied.

The name says it all

It was probably an honor killing, legal to these barbarians.

She was probably looking for a real man who lasted longer that the 30 seconds muzzos spend doing the deed.
Perhaps she was looking for some pleasure instead of the beating that passes for foreplay to these barbarians.

Look, I understand Australian law needs to be applied here, but I hope the case is handled with cultural sensitivity.

Some judges even justify it and do not consider it murder." (Constable, "The Price of 'Honour.'") Such crimes are also rife in Bangladesh, formerly East Pakistan, where some 2,200 women are disfigured every year in acid attacks by jealous or estranged men

.. and it's a cultural and not a religious thing....
not that there's anything wrong with that.....

I can just see him on the singles circuit... Bangladeshi widower, culturally aware, reliable husband and follows code of honour, sadly misses unfaithful wife, easygoing and GSOH... only one offence listed since arriving in Australia, and that was pure discrimination and lack of cultural awareness by Australian law.  Currently working in prisoner rehabilitation and activist for Bangladeshi rights...

All he needs now is some psychologist to meet him and they will live happily ever after.

Or at least until he get bored with her too and stabs her through the heart.
