Renewable energy does it again - fail!

How the fkk does SA get so dysfunctional?

An $85 mil power project built to save $5.4 mil in diesel costs over 20 years actually ends up costing $192 mil or about $120 000 for every man women and child.

That place is out of fkken control.

Coober Pedy's new electricity system will cost almost double what it should, according to an independent report, prompting the South Australian Opposition to ask for an investigation by the auditor-general.

Project to use wind, solar, and battery storage technology
Councillor says more than $100 million in subsidies could have been avoided
Project was expected to save $5.4 million against diesel costs over 20 years
A report by Adelaide engineering firm Resonant Solutions found a $192-million contract to provide power to the outback mining town through a hybrid renewable system could have cost $85 million less if alternative vendors had been given the opportunity to tender.

SA is so dysfunctional because the Commonwealth has too much power. Decentralize power.

Pelican Points generator has now been guaranteed gas and be ready for next summer, the big battery idea seems a bit flat.

This is a good time for SA to continue building windy mills and selling wind to the east coast, make way for nuclear.
