1. more of them take care of their bodies than my generation, with planned fitness, non-smoking, eating.
There are many exceptions of course and I hope it's all not just another fad.

2. young women don't as a rule take putting down crap from people, don't let themselves be condescended to like women once did. I'm old enough to remember, for instance, when women would stand outside a pub waiting for their husband to bring them a drink. Can you believe that?
I hope this is generally true and not just a misconception on my part.

Yes women are more feisty in general now..
My girl is one of these women..women are not shy and retiring anymore..most women.

My son is exactly the person you describe here..gym, health and fitness, no drinking or smoking and he is 20. His mental health is also important to him. He is taking up Muay Thai, supposedly very effective form of martial art. Times are changing.

The generation I mixed in - very atypical I'd have to admit - drank hard, smoked hard & everything, ate irregularly and badly.
But at that time I was an angry young musician.
(Now I'm just an angry old man)

But hey, look at me now, I'm fit, no major health problems, no dementia unlike most of the younger people I argue with here. But I gave up the bad (or good) life in my late 30s.

So is all that looking after yourself worth anything. They don't get the daddy of all hangovers I guess.

Know the enemies of a civil society by their public behaviour, by their fraudulent claim to be liberal-progressive, by their propensity to lie and, above all, by their attachment to authoritarianism.
