They probably thought they'd eventually get along just with renewables.
Went down well with their mostly leftie voters.
Now the chicks are coming home to roost.

So you have no ideas?

We are after the solution not the cause but thanks for your input!  Wink

Until you accept the cause how are you going to agree on the solution.
But don't worry, you won't be on you own soon.

So still no ideas!

Doing a Turdbull using spin rather than answer the question asked!

Roll Eyes

Never mind Red, other states will keep sending you some power while they still have their fossil fuel plants. Probably not today though.
I see Canberra is expecting disruptions today. Another leftist-green paradise.

More spin eh?

No disruptions that i saw!

I see NSW and VIC were also potentially facing disruptions, how did you go?

Got any answers yet?

Well today's the cruncher. States like NSW & Vic which still have coal/gas powered plants may even be stretched.
Much of it has to do with new aircon-dependent housing.
Can't see them having spare capacity to help SA.
You're on your own.

No one is thinking laterally

Just depopulate SA and return it to nature.

Final message to ACT and SA: if all else fails have a cold bath and remember, it's not easy being green.

SA needs to quickly put a major collection of windfarms on both sides and maybe in Backstairs Passage. That has the most reliable wind!

Then move on to planning for a modular nuclear reactor to be built somewhere near Pt Augusta away from where earthquakes are rare and minor and is out of reach of tsunamis.

That will secure low emissions energy to keep the state going.

A second interconnector to NSW would be good and eventually would be used to send power to NSW from the nuke plant.

Encourage more rooftop solar for homes and commercial buildings.

The peak demands of NSW & Vic seem to be such now, especially in times like this or even winter, that they will have to put their own citizens first.

Do you really think there are politicians with the guts to stand against the tidal wave of violent protest that would erupt at the merest hint of nuclear power?
