But seriously cods, when compared with a REAL food contest like Master Chef, MKR comes off as an entertainment program and nothing more.
But that's OK if you like melodrama with your uncooked or unfinished food.

Nah.

Perfectly legal.

Food Standards Australia New Zealand say "there is no convincing evidence that MSG is a significant factor in causing systemic reactions resulting in severe illness or mortality".

Restaurants everywhere use it, and it's hidden in dozens of items you buy at Woolies and Coles.

The Asian supermarkets in my area sell it by the bag.

Not much melodrama in the actual episodes. Bit of a fizzer if it's what you're expecting or wanting to see (imo).....

....however, the carefully edited lead up ad's would have you believe otherwise.......

yes me too... but by the sound of this you can buy it still.....lets hope they tell us tonight..

this is used by a young couple of girls who as far as I know shouldnt even have heard of the stuff Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I did a bit of Googling and discovered that since 2012, MSG doesn't have to be declared in restaurant or takeaway food in Australia.

And, these are a few foods on the supermarket shelves that have MSG added:

Chicken Twisties
Cheese Twisties
Cheetos Cheese and Bacon Balls
Doritos Cheese Supreme
CC's Nacho Cheese
Cheezles Original Cheese
Arnott's Shapes Nacho Cheese
Smith's Cheese and Onion chips
Smith's Chicken chips
Smith's Barbecue chips
Smith's Salt and Vinegar chips
Homebrand BBQ flavoured rice crackers
Kraft Snackabouts cheese spread
Maggi chicken flavoured noodles
Maggi beef flavoured noodles
Fantastic Chicken and Corn noodles
Fantastic Chicken noodles
Suimin Chicken noodles
Soy sauce
Oyster sauce

MSG is found naturally in tomatoes and cheese, so I believe.

My Kitchen Rules 2017: MKR drama set to explode with 'slut' slur

The drama on the My Kitchen Rules set is due to explode this week when this season's notorious trouble-maker labels one of his rivals a "slut".

The nine remaining teams will start converging on each other's homes this week to battle it out for a coveted spot in the MKR finals.
MKR 2017: What did Josh just say?

The Super Dinner Parties special promises to feature tears, break-ups and walk-outs. Vision: My Kitchen Rules, Channel Seven.

While Channel 7 has promised the "super dinner parties" will showcase some excellent cooking, it also appears the verbal tiffs between the contestants is about to head into overdrive.

Promos for Wednesday night's episode show Amy and Tyson serving up food at their instant restaurant.

"Here you are, seafood king," Amy says as she delivers Josh's meal.

"Thanks slut," he fires back.

Manu Feildel's jaw, understandably, hits the floor.

"Can I speak to both of you?" he asks as he pulls WA couple Josh and Amy aside. "I, personally, felt uncomfortable at this table the whole night."

The judges and fellow contestants aren't the only ones angry at Josh. His partner Amy is later shown storming off into the night, with Channel 7 describing the drama as a "break-up".

"Babe, we can make it work, trust me," Josh says as he chases after her.

Whether or not the episode does culminate in a break-up remains to be seen. However, Josh and Amy have gone into hiding not long after MKR went to air and are not participating in media opportunities.

Melbourne small business owner and former vegan Court previously hinted at Josh's potty-mouthed outburst when she suggested her feud with the seafood king was only just getting started.

"We just fight for the rest of the season," she said at the time. "My husband, because he's so calm, kept telling me to tap out – that it's getting ridiculous. But I don't take any poo."

Queensland contestant Della, meanwhile, told Fairfax Media she wasn't at all surprised to see Josh had been painted as a villain.

"When the camera is on Josh, you could see him getting off on it and giving the producers what they want," she said. "But Amy isn't like that. I found it really difficult [to watch], but we all have flaws."

My Kitchen Rules is currently locked in a ratings war with Channel 9's Married At First Sight, with the experimental dating show managing to knock MKR off its perch as the highest-rating television show in metropolitan areas several times over the past few weeks.

The episode they are touting will be shown on Wednesday as that is when Amy and Tyson have their home restaurant.

Josh is a m0ron.  He is uncontrolled and rude and always looks smug.   There is absolutely nothing for him to be smug about that I have seen so far.

I'm glad he's gone.  An arrogant pig.  The self proclaimed King of Seafood who can't cook fish and chips or marinate a crab.  He is, I think, a perfect example of the Dunning-Kruger Effect.

he didn't serve up a decent meal the whole series. Instead he relied on others screwing up to get through.
