Doctor did hysterectomy when specifically ordered not to - patient was in hospital to have some lumps removed from her stomach

Other women have been close to death after this quack has operated on them

For ten years the hospital management turned a blind eye while women were being butchered at Taree hospital

After years of damage, this so called doctor was finally deregistered and findings into an investigation will be out in September '18

'
Butcher' doctor slammed by furious former patients

Inquest told medical tube which caused dad's death had been ordered to be removed

Staff rushed to his bedside and noticed the line being used to administer fluids into his system had been left

That had allowed an air bubble to travel into his blood system, blocking supply to his brain

My note: During the Super Saturday by-election campaigns, we heard "we need better hospitals".

It's not better hospitals we need, it's better hospital management and staff supervisors that we need, and need right now, it's not too much to ask

The Healthcare Minister needs to instruct management and senior staff to become more strict with basic medical procedures to avoid accidents and fatalities. I've mentioned this before but it seems nothing has changed

Apologies from hospitals have become very hollow and mean nothing when incidents are ongoing costing us millions of dollars awarded to families of victims

Got a spare five thousand dollars? The proceeds go to, not NSW Healthcare, but to NSW Liberal Party campaign fund

Wine and dine while you listen to the latest developments from Canberra: Turnbull versus Dutton. Listen to talk about the many benefits of more toll roads. Listen about infrastructure contracts being awarded to Liberal mates in the construction business. Listen to how the NSW Liberal party is the bees knees for NSW

You're no likely to hear much more

Just the other day, a female patient was given someone elses details sheet in a Sydney hospital, it was only given brief mention in the news.

In another thread I expressed my opinion that patients might be subjected to a stranger's details regarding the National Health Records if they opted to stay in it. It doesn't matter though if it's the National Record or the record in Woop Woop's hospital, records can and do get mixed up - be aware

One would hope that the Minster Brad Hazzard will get a bit more serious about NSW Health, but I'm losing faith in him as being the strong and dedicated minister I thought he might be at the beginning of his tenure, but after being in charge for 19 months, unnecessary mistakes are still occurring

Hazzard has now put his name to a "Health Lunch", not a "NSW Healthcare Lunch" - and that corruption of using NSW Healthcare for political fund raising, as he and the Premier are doing, should be rejected for the devious sleight of hand that it is, not to mention their incongruous attitude towards NSW Healthcare - politics before healthcare

Patient charged after
'slashing nurse'
in attack at Blacktown Hospital in western Sydney

4:44pm Aug 28, 2018

Police say the man's erratic behaviour included walking into patient's rooms and taking photos with his mobile phone.

He then allegedly walked into an unlocked staff tearoom and grabbed two knives, with his nurse following him inside.

Unaware the man was armed, she tried helping him back into his room when he allegedly slashed her with the knives,
cutting her wrists and forearms

Heartbroken mother says daughter was sent home day before she died from meningococcal

5:21pm Sep 3, 2018

A heartbroken mother says her teenage daughter was sent home from hospital just a day before she died from meningococcal disease.

Mischelle Rhodes, 19, died at Gosford Hospital last week from an unconfirmed strain of the disease.

The young woman’s mother, Anjini Rhodes, called an ambulance for her daughter on Tuesday, when she began feeling unwell.

She was sent home later that day with
Panadol and Nurofen
. Her condition worsened and by early Wednesday morning Mischelle was back at Gosford Hospital.

Tragically, she died that night, and Anjini says she wished she was more forceful with hospital staff.

https://www.9news.com.au/2018/09/03/13/04/meningococcal-death-mischelle-rhodes-g...

Note the mother said: "she wished she was more forceful with hospital staff"

I guess what she meant was that she should have asked the doctor more questions or asked if her daughter could remain in hospital for observation

"She had symptoms like sore throat, sore neck, high fever" - If these symptoms were simultaneous and seemingly out of the blue, It would take more than Panadol and Nurofen to fix them

The spokesman for the hospital said it was an unknown strain of meningocccal, but a hospital that sends you home with just Panadol and Nurofen probably knows nothing about any strain of meningococcal

A doctor has been accused of drugging and indecently assaulting a patient at his practice in Sydney's inner west.

This 7.30 Report is about a story in Victoria but could be about anyone in any State or Territory unfortunate enough to be treated in a Regional hospital

The further inland you are/go, the more likely you are to die unnecessarily in hospitals staffed by incompetent abrupt and pigheaded doctors and staff

The story in the short video confirms my warning earlier in this thread and another thread about poor treatment in Regional hospitals. Watch it right through

"Get her out of here" ....... listen to every word in this footage

Sydney's Westmead Hospital stripped of ICU training accreditation following
bullying
claims

One of Sydney's major hospitals has been stripped of its Intensive Care Unit training accreditation following a string of serious bullying and harassment allegations against senior medical staff.

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-10-27/bullying-harassment-claims-at-westmead-se...

My notes: It can't be stressed too much how important it is to have harmony within the staff in hospitals. Complaints about bullying and harassment should be non-existent. The Minister needs to step in and find out what's going on and come up with a permanent solution to eradicate ill treatment of staff by other staff members, even if that means sacking a few people
