In Australia - the worker is right, not the customer, as is the case in the USA.
Respect the Worker and doors open.
Don't like the 'Free' Public care, then nick off and pay for Private.

Except the Public hospital system is paid for by who? ... the State's taxpayers, that's who ... it's not free

A third of the NSW Annual Budget goes to Healthcare ... that's a lot of tax, and we need to be vigilant. Some of that tax should go towards training staff at all levels to be compassionate and empathetic. All too often they only think of themselves, and what they can get out of it in the way of a job and pay. Patients and their loved ones come a poor second

The Public Health System is
Medical Professionals working in a Legal System
The Tax pays for the legalities.
The Medicine is for Free.

...most smart and clever Medical people prefer to work overseas, where their expertise is not compromised by 'legalities' like it is here in Australia.

A fake nurse who treated patients at a New South Wales family practice has escaped jail time

She told the clinic she was a registered nurse
and from October 13, 2020 to December 7, 2020 she worked 14 shifts.

When asked by the clinic for a copy of her Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia registration, she provided a false number on a sticky note.

Going to cost her $10,200, a fine plus costs

The Medical Center should have been fined as well, for neglecting to vet her before she did 14 shifts of fake nursing

Absolutely.  How can they not check peoples qualifications BEFORE they let them treat patients? It's ridiculous

I know someone who many years ago took out a small bank loan ($5k) under the name of another of his family members so that he could travel to the USA for a holiday. When it was discovered months later the banks took him to court demanding he give back their money. The judge told the bank to get stuffed. If they were to lazy to ask to see his license then it was their own damn fault.

I think the judge got it spot on. All they had to do was sight his license when he applied.

Nurses at Sydney hospital walk out over 'dangerous' conditions

By Mark Saunokonoko • Senior Journalist
8:19am Aug 1, 2022

"Dozens of nurses and staff who had just finished a busy night shift assembled outside Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital, calling on Health Minister Brad Hazzard to fix a "broken" system buckling under the twin pressures of COVID-19 and influenza."

"Staffing is absolutely horrendous (and) nurses are leaving the profession in droves."

It's truly tragic
A nurse in my family was telling me
They have a 210 kg diabetic
With leg ulcers
Who poos and pees the bed several times a day

This is totally self-inflicted
And this individual is expecting
3 or 4 highly qualified registered nurses
To treat this overgrown infant

It must be demoralise ing to enter the health sector
And have to deal with such ridiculous nonsense

I do believe I would leave to

This is a story of a sickening and vile attitude shown towards a mother and her child at Canberra Hospital

Canberra Hospital's emergency department

Katrina said one of her biggest regrets is not speaking up to staff when she knew her daughter's condition was deteriorating.

She said she kept her mouth shut out of fear, because she had already been made to feel like a pest, even though her daughter was dying in her arms.

"You see all those signs around the hospital, 'don't raise your voice, because you're going to get kicked out," she said.

[i]Cardiologist Dr Ross Walker said Rozalia suffered a rare but treatable complication of the flu.

One of these days hospitals will get what's coming to them, they're like Nazis killing Jews, and with the same arrogant temperament

The little girl was correctly diagnosed AFTER she died ... how Nazi was that? ... Her flu was treatable

From Perth this time

The head of Perth Children’s Hospital has resigned amid an overhaul following the death of seven-year-old Aishwarya Aswath.

He was at the helm when Aishwarya died of sepsis in April last year, after presenting to the hospital’s emergency department with a fever.

An internal review into her death found staff had missed opportunities to escalate her care despite her parents pleading for help

Well, the manager is finally gone from this Perth hospital, and an inquest into the treatment of the little girl's death is underway

The excuse coming from the hospital staff is "staff shortages"

It begs this question: Which is more important, the hospital staff's gripes, or the lives of patients?

The apparent answer is the staff's gripes ... and they are prepared to let people die to get their message across, even children can die for all they care

Reminiscent of concentration camps in Germany I hate to say. The head of the nurses union was disgusting, excusing her members for the callous way they treated the parents of the innocent daughter, not to mention their treatment of the little girl herself, she died of sepsis in the emergency waiting room

So let's look at the meaning of "Emergency" ....

We get ...

emergency | ɪˈməːdʒ(ə)nsi |
noun (plural emergencies)
1 a serious, unexpected, and often dangerous situation requiring immediate action

Now let's look at the meaning of "Waiting" (as in Waiting Room) ...

waiting | ˈweɪtɪŋ |
noun [mass noun]
1 the action of staying where one is or delaying action until a particular time or event: years of waiting.

Perhaps the two conflict, but one should take precedence over the other at all times. Intelligent people would know which one that should be

Good riddance to the manager

Young man dies after appendix surgery

By AAP
Luke Costin
7:06pm Sep 26, 2022

Randwick's Prince of Wales Hospital (NSW)

This happened in 2019 but apparently the Coroner has only just got around to examining the incident

"A coroner will examine how a healthy, young Sydney man died after routine surgery and whether hospital staff properly kept his distraught family in the loop.
Legal clerk Lucas Peyret, 21, died a week after keyhole surgery to treat acute appendicitis at Randwick's Prince of Wales Hospital on May 26, 2019.
The uneventful surgery ended at 9.39pm but within minutes of his breathing tube being removed, Peyret's oxygen saturation rapidly dropped and his heart stopped at 9.55pm."

Hundreds of billions of tax-payer dollars spent on 3 clunker Submarines by the USA is more important most would say.
