It's an indictment of the conservative establishment in Australia that the land rights situation was not resolved until 1992.

It had no real relevance to being applied to the whole of mainland Australia and any claims made by mainland Aboriginals.

It was just an exploited precedent.

Eddie wasn't aboriginal he was TI and Im pretty sure he was lucky enough to have never met that idiot whitlam

That song was written about the Wave Hill Station walk off by Aboriginal stockmen.

Vincent Lingiari was one of them ... and that's him pictured with Whitlam

it has nothing to do with Eddie Mabo or the Mabo Decision.
