I want to donate to WWF . . .
Jan 21st, 2017 at 3:29pm

. . .for the purposes of helping to stop wildlife crime.

But can I be sure that my money is not going to:

1. climate change purposes

2. funding terrorist groups around the world

Does anybody have any experience or knowledge in this area?

Would you crowd fund rhino horn and tiger bone to be laced with polonium to help reduce the consumers and demand?

Bogy you are not going to get any sensible advice from this lot.

But the very fact you are asking the question suggests that you already suspect a rip off.

Gordon does however have a very cunning plan, I would go with that one.

My experience with nearly all western based NGOs has been very disheartening. The money gets spent on local corruption and the inflated wages and entitlements of the staff.

WWF gets an OK score here, but I'm still skeptical. I'd prefer to make contact with a person directly helping the cause you like.

a few years ago I joined the save the Bears Fund in Perth.. I think it was one of the first   and they saved the Sun Bears whilst I was a member and brought a few here it was very exciting and rewarding.. I had lots of contact from them.. and the lady that nstarted it was very much involved and had gone to the countries involved and helped them set up safe places for any Bears they saved from go only know what lives they had.. it was shocking but as I say rewarding as well...it gave me lots of hope for humanity I can tell you..

give it a go  Boges you can only do it in good faith.. I have never heard of any WWF being suss...maybe go for one registered in Australia....but you can always drop out if you are not too sure....

I wrote many letters all over the world about their treatment of Bears... dont know how much good it did.. but I always think the more noise the better..

some of the stuff you will hear about is beyond belief.,

go for it boges.

If you like, I can PM you an account number to which you can transfer the donations, feel free to share it around with anyone else who wants to give to a needy cause.
I can guarantee none of it will go towards terrorism or climate change.
