Interesting to see the lack of compassion for homeless people.

You have no idea about anyone else's compassion levels.

Actions speak louder than words and this site is just words.

I guarantee there will be people on this site who do great things in the community but they don't make a song and dance about it.

They are not tattooing compassionate person on their forehead.

I tend to be very skeptical of the tattooed ones

Yes and your words lack compassion as do others ? That is a pretty obvious statement of fact like it or not.

Yes but they won't be the people cheering for the homeless to be screwed.

You ot talk like it could never happen to you.

Don't be so sure.

It happened to me at age 50 after owning two homes and two bad marriages and having rotten 'managers' where I worked, who left me poor and with their company owing money.  Suddenly not one soul on this earth wants to know you.... and every man's hand is turned against you.

Anyone care to ask again why I am so hostile to self-serving government and their mates in 'business'.. not one worth five cents for a truckload of 'em on the open market.  Angry

My response, as a caring and empathic human being, was, once I was back on my feet, to give free food from my gardens to the Salvos to hand out to the poor.... such nice things as strawberries that they and their children loved.

I've got small crops here in my new gardens, and I intend to do the same with the excess.

Do we have laws against cruel and unusual punishment for being homeless in Australia?

Sure you can. Ever heard of share housing ?. Of course not. A single person could live a great lifestyle on that money.

yeah .. I'm sure you'll be the first to rent a room out to a homeless person. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Besides, many homeless have other issues such as alcohol addiction, mental health issues or drug addiction,  that make them unsuitable for sharing.

Sometimes you make sense - other times you make shlt of sense....

Rhino - stick to your area of expertise and knowledge....  you are capable of discussing economic issues - but you are just another idiot savant as regards social issues...

Or is it just Friday night when all the trolls from the LNP and Labiar finish their cocktails and feel the need to vent a little and play some games with the great unwashed out there striving to get a point across over the way this country is being ruined??

But you said Quote:

You obviously can rent sh1t for that price, and a lot cheaper. So you were wrong. And how did I know your next post would be to make even more excuses for these people. Their addictions are their issues to solve, they are choosing
to be homeless, thats just the fact of the matter.

**falls off the chair laughing**

A cold day in hell when that happens...... he's THAT good!

As a scion of a mixed Protestant/Catholic birth - I've rejected Christianity.... too many contradictions in theory and practice for me..... I prefer a kind of Buddhist or North American Indian spirituality...

I can rent a room in a share house 3k from the cbd with with swimming pool, gym for $150 a week. Dole is $500 a week plus rent assistance $130. Thats more spending money than I got now and I make 6 figures. Some people talk themselves and others into poverty.
