One for the Islamophiles
Jan 17th, 2017 at 9:55pm

You Islamophiles will love this guy. He is your every dream come true. A Muzlim who doesn't really believe in the teachings of the Koran, and therefore cannot be held accountable for the atrocities perpetrated in its name. Calls himself and atheist and a Muzz at the same time.

I'd like to see him debate the Ayotollah or Al Bag-Daddi.

Not much of it makes sense anyway

"On a recent return to New York after a short trip to India, I waltzed through immigration with my nice blue US passport. It says “Abdulali” but nobody seemed to care."

My daughter is 50% Catholic, about 36% Muslim and 14% who-knows-what …

I support all atheist Muslims unreservedly unlike the loony left who lable them as anti Muslim extremists.

I also have no problem with the term 'atheist Muslim'.

How can a muslim be atheist?

atheism |ˈāθēˌizəm|
noun
the theory or belief that God does not exist

The only difference would be they don't shout Allah Akber .... but still chop off hands and cut clits

He did.

Quote:
Indians first, Muslims second – that was what we believed growing up. In fact, as unconcerned atheists, we never thought about being Muslim at all, except for rattling off prayers to please my grandmother. My cousins and I made fun of the conservative men in our community, with their dyed beards and skull caps and flappy pyjama pants. But 1992 in India, like 9/11 and now 2016 in America, taught us a hard lesson – like European Jews in the second world war, there’s no escape from the accident of birth. Bleating, “I’m an atheist, for God’s sake” doesn’t get me very far. And I find that highly annoying.

I care about many things. Allah doesn’t happen to be one of them. I’m just a slacker Muslim. I just don’t care. I don’t WANT to care. Why can’t I just not care?

"Indian first, Muslim second" Karnal

Why would he/she tell the world they're Muslim if they're not interested in the religion?

Because in India, everyone is identified by their religion, just as they are in most parts of the world.

We're quite lucky that we don't have this burden. We're also lucky that we're not born into a certain religion that faces being banned from the US. Trump doesn't want to ban practising Muslims, he wants to ban all those from majority-Muslim countries.

And yes, we're also lucky we don't have a leader like Trump.

No I'm cool with people identifying as culturally xyz religion when they've grown up with with it. People like that (in the west) won't be saying, Hi, my names xyz and I'm Muslim.

I think you are missing the point, Gordon. This guy is the poster boy for those who want to believe that Multiculturalism is moral and safe, because it confers equality on all cultures. Believing this contradiction of Islam/Atheist, promulgates the wishful thinking that Islam is pluralistic and has respect for other cultures; a view advanced by the BBC, The ABC, The New York Times, The Guardian, Der Speigel and most Western governments.

Its a flat out lie, because to be a Muzz you have to accept Mohamed as the messenger of God, and the Koran as God's word. No, you cannot be an atheist and a Muzlim at the same time, anymore than you can believe in God and not believe in God. Playing this loosely with language simply shores up the mistakes of early Multiculturalism. We should be correcting the mistakes by looking squarely at them, not finding excuses for Islam, which this guys contradiction attempts to do.
